How to export PDF pages as JPG
- 1
Add a PDF
One document or several. ToolSpruce reads them locally.
- 2
Choose scale and quality
Balanced fits most pages. Sharp is better for small print and makes larger JPGs.
- 3
Download the JPGs
A one-page PDF downloads as a single JPG. More pages come as a ZIP named by page number.
Good to know
Each page is drawn to a picture. That is what you want for a preview, a slide, or a form that only accepts images. The text in the JPG is not selectable, because it is a photo of the page.
Rendering uses PDF.js in your browser. Password-protected PDFs cannot be opened. A scale setting controls how many pixels you get: Screen, Balanced, or Sharp.
Frequently asked questions
Is the text in the JPG still selectable?
No. You get a picture of each page. Use the original PDF when you need to copy text.
Can you open a password-protected PDF?
No. Encrypted PDFs are refused. Remove the password in a tool you trust, then export the pages here.
Are pages uploaded for rendering?
No. PDF.js draws them on this device. The worker file is part of ToolSpruce, not a third-party conversion service.
How are the files named?
Each JPG uses the PDF name plus the page number, such as contract-page-2.jpg.
